Bavarian vests and jacketsBavarian “Trachtenjanker“ are jackets that are traditionally made of lamb’s wool. Decorative buttons made out of metal, buckhorn or coins are typical for these jackets. Due to the special processing of the wool, these jackets have excellent temperature regulating properties. Vests are also an integral part of the traditional Bavarian attire. They usually are made of wool or velvet and are, in general, worn for festive occasions but can be readily combined with ordinary jeans. The traditional colors are green, red, grey and black and all kinds of brown. |
